Shari Kuzel

Director of Advocacy & Outreach

Hi I am Shari Kuzel (she/her), the director of advocacy and outreach. A little bit about myself, I am a behaviorist and counselor in my day job, I work mostly with children/adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and their families. I am the mother of two wonderful girls (both of whom use the pronouns she/her). I have been in the pageantry arts and color guard world since I was a young girl myself. I have so many friends who are members of the LGBTQ+ community. Having grown up in the 70s and 80s, I as my friends had to hide who they were, fight for their rights to love and marry who they wanted to.

I also watched my friends fight and advocate for the rights of those who were dying of HIV/AIDS, I lost way too many people I love to that disease. I have family members who are gay, and transgender, and their rights are very important to me. I am honored to be part of The Love Network, let us give those a voice who feel they don’t have one.
